Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Cardiac Ultrasound Technician, you will collaborate with a supportive team that prioritizes patient care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing cardiac ultrasound examinations, including transthoracic, stress, transesophageal, and intra-operative echocardiograms in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
- Preparing patients for procedures and accurately correlating their medical history with the tests ordered by physicians.
- Ensuring all equipment is maintained in optimal working condition, promptly reporting any malfunctions to the Manager.
- Adhering to established infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including patient examination rooms and equipment.
You will proficiently conduct all ultrasound procedures in your designated specialty areas, utilizing various equipment and techniques in accordance with established clinical standards and hospital protocols.
QualificationsTo be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- An Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or relevant certification.
