Key Responsibilities:
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for:

  • Conducting inspection activities to evaluate product conformity to engineering specifications, including drawings, blueprints, and quality plans.
  • Interpreting engineering documentation and collaborating with management or engineering teams to establish quality and reliability benchmarks.
  • Inspecting products, components, and systems to verify compliance with established requirements.
  • Identifying nonconformities that may indicate existing or potential defects at various assembly levels.
  • Documenting inspection data within the ERP system.
  • Developing inspection plans and checklists.
  • Assisting with discrepancy reports for nonconforming materials and managing red tag processes.
  • Executing material movement transactions post-inspection.
  • Supporting gauge calibration for hand tools and measurement devices.
  • Participating in routine product testing, including adhesion and salt spray tests.
  • Conducting first article inspections as needed.
  • Performing monthly process audits as assigned.
  • Adhering to all quality and safety protocols.
  • Contributing to various projects and performing additional duties as required.

Specialization:
The role may involve specialization in areas such as receiving inspection, in-process inspection, process verification/auditing, and final inspection.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of two to five years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring schematics.
  • Experience with inspection tools, including calipers.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Proficiency in GD&T is highly desirable.
  • A goal-oriented and team-focused approach to ensure timely project completion.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
