The Department of Veteran Affairs is actively seeking a full-time, supervisory Psychiatrist to become an integral part of our team in Colorado. In this on-site position, you will guide a group of skilled and dedicated healthcare professionals in providing care to a diverse population of Veterans in the region. Our services encompass both inpatient and outpatient care for various psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, therapeutic interventions, diagnostic assessments, and medication management.
- Perform suicide risk assessments and oversee the comprehensive care of patients with psychiatric disorders.
- Act as a mental health team leader, coordinating consults and managing specialty clinic referrals.
- Engage in administrative duties, including the development and oversight of mental health programs and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Service Chief to ensure the effectiveness of departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in the supervision and education of psychiatric residents.
Essential Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD or DO) with an active and unrestricted DEA license.
- Current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any US state.
- Completion of US residency training.
- Experience in multidisciplinary inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care.
- Preferred: 2+ years of managerial or supervisory experience in a clinical environment.
- On-call duty is a requirement for this position.

Compensation: Competitive base salary, sign-on bonus, and an annual bonus range of $300,000 to $336,000. Financial assistance for relocation is available, along with a student loan reimbursement program for eligible candidates.
