S3I is seeking a knowledgeable Systems Engineer to contribute to our ongoing projects with the US Navy. This role places you at the cutting edge of technology, where you will manage complex systems crucial for national security missions. Your responsibilities will include designing resilient architectures and enhancing system performance and reliability, ensuring efficient operations and mission success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting tests on aircraft and within government laboratories to identify issues and support the software development team in resolving them.
  • Performing independent investigations to replicate issues reported in operational systems.
  • Engaging in design reviews and offering insights on system requirements.
  • Collaborating with government personnel and partners to deliver effective solutions.
  • Working with both local and remote teams across various government facilities to troubleshoot and resolve intricate problems.
  • Providing technical support to the software testing team.
  • Assisting in the preparation of software documentation.
  • Investigating and proposing engineering solutions to meet cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in building and troubleshooting complex systems utilizing Linux.
  • Familiarity with hardware and software integrations, including sensors, networking, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and reverse engineering capabilities for Linux environments.
  • Understanding of DoD and DCSA cybersecurity protocols.
  • Knowledge of DoD sensor systems such as EOIR, Radar, and SIGINT.
  • Experience with deploying to DoD cloud platforms, particularly in IL5 environments and above.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Considerations:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance.
  • Prior experience with Minotaur systems is highly desirable.
