The Cybersecurity Specialist, a key member of our Information Security team at Children's National Hospital, plays a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.
This challenging position involves configuring, maintaining, and advising on security within the Workday application, as well as managing domain security policies, roles, and role assignments within Sailpoint for identity and access management. The specialist will coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance with divisional and data security policies, participate in report reviews to maintain security and data privacy standards, and execute tasks associated with analysis and remediation of information security risks.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of cybersecurity practices, controls, and frameworks, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate complex information risk-related concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Additionally, they will have experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity operations, analysis, forensics, and/or investigations, as well as demonstrated ability to apply key cybersecurity practices, controls, and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and advise on security within the Workday application.
- Manage domain security policies, roles, and role assignments within Sailpoint for identity and access management.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance with divisional and data security policies.
- Participate in report reviews to maintain security and data privacy standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering, or another relevant discipline or equivalent training and work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a focus on vulnerability management, cybersecurity operations, analysis, forensics, and/or investigations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply key cybersecurity practices, controls, and frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate complex information risk-related concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
