Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of production employees to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the food production area.
- Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet customer requirements and production targets.
- Monitor and control production costs, ensuring that they are within budget and that any variances are reported and addressed promptly.
- Ensure that all production processes are compliant with FDA, HACCP, and SQF standards.
- Train and develop production employees to improve their skills and knowledge, and to ensure that they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Identify and resolve any issues or problems that arise during production, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and quality control, to ensure that all aspects of production are running smoothly.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, including metrics such as productivity, quality, and cost.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as food science or business administration.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a food manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train employees.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues promptly.
