We are currently in search of a Mechanical Estimator specializing in Plumbing and Piping/Sheet Metal for our Estimating Division.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Evaluate blueprints, project specifications, proposals, and related documents to create comprehensive project estimates.
• Proficient in estimating software applications.
• Familiarity with the HVAC and Plumbing sectors, including the following aspects:
• Compliance with Local and National Codes and Standards for HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing systems.
• Understanding of labor and material costs in the HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing fields, adhering to SMACNA and MCAA labor standards.
• Expertise in estimating HVAC/Plumbing systems, with a foundational understanding of the complementary trade.
• Capability to develop HVAC & Plumbing Budgets.
• Proficient in calculating costs associated with square foot budgets as required.
• Generate estimates and proposals, assisting in the procurement of necessary submittals.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding all bids and their outcomes.
• Ensure effective file management practices.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as project specifications, project outlines, and contracts. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
