WellLife Network seeks a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Clinical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our clients.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have at least one year of experience working with individuals with severe mental illnesses, preferably in a clinical supervisory role. They will be responsible for evaluating consumer needs, providing psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, and developing treatment plans with input from other team members.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with the treatment team to assess consumer physical health, coordinate medical treatments with psychiatric care, and complete nursing assessments within 30 days of admission and yearly thereafter. You will also perform individual, group, and family supportive therapy, administer prescribed medications, and monitor client progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate consumer needs and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team
  • Provide psychiatric and medical assessment and treatment, including medication administration and monitoring
  • Complete nursing assessments within 30 days of admission and yearly thereafter
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to assess consumer physical health and coordinate medical treatments with psychiatric care
  • Perform individual, group, and family supportive therapy, as well as illness education
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess:

  • A valid New York State driver's license
  • A clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe mental illnesses
  • Knowledge of the ACT model and clinical supervisory experience preferred
  • Computer proficiency, including email and electronic medical record navigation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as knowledge of group dynamics
