Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Structural Engineer to join our team at Orbis Inc. As a Subject Matter Expert in Naval Ship HM&E systems, you will be responsible for designing, testing, and installing systems related to metallurgical evaluation, welding engineering, and quality oversight.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Phased Array UT or RT and experience with NDT Level III certification. You will work closely with our team to prepare engineering design and installation drawings, as well as supporting calculations and processes for US Navy HM&E systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and test Naval Ship HM&E systems, including metallurgical evaluation and welding engineering
  • Prepare engineering design and installation drawings, and supporting calculations and processes
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure quality oversight and structural inspections

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in Naval Ship HM&E systems, metallurgical evaluation, and welding engineering
  • NDT Level III certification in Phased Array UT or RT
  • Experience with Computer Radiography and Digital Radiography knowledge (CR/DR) is preferred
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • A secret security clearance

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
