Job Summary:

This role will be part of the team reporting to the Director of Extramural Funding. Responsibilities include managing various programs at the Office of Research Development & Strategy, such as the Limited Submission Program, Capture Management Program, and AB Nexus Program. Additionally, tasks involve assisting with special projects like a virtual grant library and office communications.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities for this position include:

Limited Submission and Capture Management Program (40% effort)

  • Create and manage tasks related to limited submission activities.
  • Identify and disseminate funding opportunities through various databases.
  • Organize internal review processes for funding opportunities.
  • Track outcomes and success rates of funding opportunities.
  • Coordinate processes with other campus units when necessary.
  • Update funding opportunities on the website.
  • Identify and communicate funding opportunities to investigators.
  • Provide education programming and support for investigators.
  • Run funding searches when requested.

Internal Funding Programs (35% effort)

  • Develop proposals for internal funding programs.
  • Manage application and review processes using appropriate technology platforms.
  • Create evaluation practices and identify potential funding opportunities.
  • Generate reports and provide programmatic analysis.

Special Projects/Assignments (25% effort)

  • Assist on specific projects such as website updates, development of virtual grant library, and coordination of events.
  • Draft communications for newsletters and special announcements.
  • Provide guidance and support to researchers on strategic planning and goal setting.

Work Environment:

This role offers a flexible schedule, with the possibility of working part of the week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.
