Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at Abraxas Youth & Family Services. As a Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in providing medically necessary mental health treatment services to children and adolescents experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision of clients and interact therapeutically.
Evaluate client's behavioral and emotional issues.
Interact with and supervise clients during daily activities in a manner that ensures their safety and security.
Provide effective facility security, including conducting headcounts, room checks, and observing client movement.
Observe client behavior and intervene appropriately.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and one-year human service experience.
Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited program required; degree in an area of human services preferred.
Non-communicable diseases physical exam.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Satisfactory completion of background screening and applicable pre-employment checks.
