Position Summary

We are in search of a skilled Structural Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience to enhance our team. Our structural division engages in a variety of projects, including buildings, bridges, and diverse structures, ranging from simple masonry walls to complex high-rise concrete edifices. This role will be based in our office.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a design team, managing multiple projects simultaneously. Key responsibilities include:
  • Execute and coordinate engineering projects under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Design and develop structural projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Create detailed construction documents for various structures using CAD or BIM software.
  • Conduct structural calculations for a range of materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
  • Utilize advanced design software to develop structural models and conduct inspections, preparing detailed reports.
  • Review shop drawings and address Requests for Information (RFIs) during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with relevant codes.
  • Assist in site planning and analyze geotechnical reports.
  • Document material specifications and recommend strategies for optimal building performance.
  • Conduct product research and ensure documentation meets functional and code requirements.
  • Collaborate on design development with licensed Engineers, focusing on detailing structural components.
  • Prepare technical designs and construction drawings, ensuring all conditions are accurately detailed.
  • Participate in construction observation and attend project meetings as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficient in software tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and various CSI products.
  • Must possess EIT or Intern Engineer certification from the relevant state authority.
  • Willingness to travel for client site visits as required.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is mandatory.
  • Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:15 PM.
