Security Officer Role Overview

At MaineHealth, we are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities:

* Monitor the healthcare environment to prevent security incidents and de-escalate emerging incidents
* Provide protective services and, with sufficient training, patient restraints as deemed necessary by medical staff
* Collaborate with medical staff to ensure the safety and well-being of patients

Requirements:

* High school diploma or GED preferred
* Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
* Valid Driver's license if required at local Health System
* Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or similar to be completed within local Health System requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

* Relevant experience in hospital safety and security
