Job Overview

The Hotel Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of hotel properties and surroundings by executing a variety of essential tasks and responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conducts minor repairs and replacements on hot water systems and HVAC units as necessary.
  • Performs maintenance and preventative actions on all building systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service by treating guests and customers with respect and courtesy.
  • Receives and interprets work orders or verbal instructions from the Hotel Manager to carry out assigned tasks.
  • Cleans and maintains internal areas of buildings and mechanical spaces, including buffing, dusting, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Paints both interior and exterior walls, trim, and floors as needed.
  • Maintains and repairs plumbing, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment as directed.
  • Oversees the upkeep of building exteriors to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Assists other departments with various tasks as required.

Additional Duties

  • Replaces worn or damaged components such as hoses, wiring, and belts in machines and equipment.
  • Helps with moving furniture, unloading, and storing supplies as needed.
  • Keeps detailed logs of tasks performed and maintenance requests.
  • Capable of performing caulking and grouting in guest rooms.
  • Handles snow removal and trash disposal as part of regular duties.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned by the Hotel Manager, which may relate to or differ from the primary position.
