In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial success of our research endeavors. You will be responsible for developing and negotiating budgets for clinical trials, collaborating with researchers, sponsors, and internal stakeholders to secure funding and optimize financial outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Budget Development & Negotiation: You will meticulously review research protocols and craft comprehensive budgets that accurately reflect trial activities and revenue streams. You'll collaborate closely with principal investigators, research management, and finance teams to ensure budget accuracy and completeness.
- Sponsor Collaboration: Your expertise in budget negotiation will be instrumental in reaching agreements with commercial sponsors, academic institutions, and other funding sources. You'll effectively communicate budget details, terms, and progress updates to all parties involved.
- Financial Management & Compliance: You will maintain meticulous records of budgets and financial information within our Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) or other relevant software. Your attention to detail will ensure accurate reimbursement and revenue integrity while adhering to institutional policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Problem Solving & Support: You will serve as a valuable resource for Moffitt team members across various departments, including the Clinical Trials Office, Research Finance, Patient Financial Services, and Moffitt Medical Group. Your expertise will be essential in resolving research-related billing issues and providing guidance on financial matters.
- Project Management & Analysis: You will contribute to special department projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established guidelines. You'll also collaborate with the coverage analysis team to accurately capture patient costs within informed consent documents.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong background in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field.
- Bachelor's Degree – Business Administration, Nursing, Finance, Healthcare, or related field
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting, finance, medical auditing, case management, healthcare insurance, and/or relevant experience.
