As a Registered Nurse with John Muir Health, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our Medical/Surgical Acute Care Administration department. This part-time position requires a commitment of 8 hours per night, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate nurse to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence-based practices and relevant patient care models to create a compassionate healing environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate and provide care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame.
- Ensure adherence to John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16.
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required
- 6 Months Nursing - Acute Care - Preferred
- 1000 hours Nursing - Medical/Surgical - Must be Obtained within last 2 years - Non-core Requirement
- RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
- BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
- NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification - Achieved by the end of orientation to the assigned area - Required
- NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis - Required
- Must meet clinical core qualifications within 24 months.
- Must demonstrate competency in the care of medical surgical and telemetry patients.
32 hours per week, with a shift of 22:30 - 04:00 (United States of America)
Compensation:$99.73 per hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement based on experience and licensure.
