About the Role

This is a dynamic opportunity to join the SP Plus Corporation team as a Facility Manager, Parking Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our valet operation, ensuring a seamless and exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in programs to improve client and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure guests receive timely and exceptional service by:
    • Courteously assisting guests with any questions or concerns.
    • Assisting guests in and out of their vehicles.
    • Driving, parking, and retrieving guest vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
    • Having a thorough knowledge of all areas of the valet operation, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area.
  • Create a staffing schedule according to anticipated daily vehicle volume.
  • Maintain full compliance with standard operating procedures, ensuring the safety and security of vehicles and keys at all times.
  • Prepare and process daily paperwork according to audit compliance standards.
  • Quickly distinguish vehicle make and models, with a general knowledge of vehicle operations.
  • Ensure drive lanes and crosswalks are clean of debris, water, oil spills, etc.
  • Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
  • Review damage claims.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and coaching an excellent valet team.
  • Substitute for any position, if necessary.
  • Complete other duties as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Graduate.
  • A minimum of six months of valet experience preferred.
  • Availability to Work: Special shift requirements, if any, will vary depending on a location's hiring needs.
  • License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license with current address and acceptable driving record.
  • Oral Communication: Speaks clearly; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions.
  • Written Communication: Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.
  • Guest Service: Have a strong guest orientation and positive attitude. Able to respond to requests for service and assistance in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Adaptability: Adapts to changes in the work environment; Able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events.
  • Judgment: Exhibits sound and accurate judgment.
