Role Overview:
Reporting directly to the Shipping Manager, the Production Floor Supervisor is essential in guiding and training personnel involved in packaging and bulk loadout operations to fulfill daily production targets. Your responsibilities will include managing the loadout operations team, ensuring that production and quality objectives are consistently met. You will also be tasked with identifying and resolving production bottlenecks, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that resources such as materials, equipment, and personnel are readily available to maintain efficient production schedules. Furthermore, you will spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
Plant Operations:
- Oversee personnel in the packaging and bulk loadout departments.
- Provide technical expertise for process equipment, addressing operational and mechanical challenges as necessary.
- Make real-time decisions to ensure safety, quality, and productivity in accordance with company standards.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to maintain product quality within specified standards.
- Monitor and evaluate efficiency and performance metrics for personnel and processes.
- Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve departmental objectives.
- Train and mentor operators and department staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Utilize Integrated Management System (IMS) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) systems as applicable.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and BRC standards.
Quality, Safety, and Sanitation:
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Comply with food safety, quality assurance, GMP, sanitation, and general plant policies.
- Inspect products for quality and appearance, ensuring compliance with customer and QA/Food Safety standards.
- Report safety or environmental concerns to supervisors.
- Perform general housekeeping duties at the end of each shift.
- Complete necessary documentation for process parameters and recordkeeping.
Management and Leadership:
- Lead by example, ensuring adherence to safety and food safety policies.
- Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and compliance with area SOPs.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess quality and productivity.
- Promote continuous improvement through the Integrated Management System (IMS).
- Build strong relationships with area leads and department supervisors.
- Effectively manage and drive change, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
- Stay updated with new technology and share knowledge with your team.
