Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain respectful relationships with clients, ensuring dignity and professionalism.
  • Guide clients in developing essential skills for their recovery journey.
  • Provide information on available resources and services to enhance recovery options.
  • Encourage the use of community resources and facilitate referrals to meet individual and family needs.
  • Support clients in cultivating a sense of wellness and recognizing their unique strengths.
  • Incorporate client feedback into service delivery to tailor support to individual goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in electronic records.
  • Engage in both group and individual supervision for professional development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience interacting with individuals in recovery.
  • Strong communication and listening abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Professional demeanor in all interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Eligibility for certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board.
  • Personal experience with addiction and recovery is essential.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a PA Criminal Background Check.
  • Obtain Child Abuse and FBI Clearances.
  • Pass a Drug Screening.
  • Complete a TB test.
  • Must have a minimum of 18 months of recovery from substance dependence.

Work Environment:

  • Setting within a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation facility.
  • Involves extended periods of desk work and computer use.
