Key Responsibilities:
The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with long-term care facilities to conduct thorough wound assessments and guide treatment strategies.
- Ensuring the correct application and effective use of wound care products.
- Interpreting Medicare documentation and reimbursement protocols.
- Providing education to facility staff on compliance with federal and state documentation standards.
- Managing the ordering of wound care supplies through our proprietary system, ensuring timely delivery for residents.
- Supporting facility wound care initiatives by assisting with tracking, documentation, and understanding coverage guidelines for wound care products.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid healthcare license (RN, LPN, PT, OTR-L, DPM, or equivalent).
