Key Responsibilities:

The Wound Care Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with long-term care facilities to conduct thorough wound assessments and guide treatment strategies.
  • Ensuring the correct application and effective use of wound care products.
  • Interpreting Medicare documentation and reimbursement protocols.
  • Providing education to facility staff on compliance with federal and state documentation standards.
  • Managing the ordering of wound care supplies through our proprietary system, ensuring timely delivery for residents.
  • Supporting facility wound care initiatives by assisting with tracking, documentation, and understanding coverage guidelines for wound care products.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid healthcare license (RN, LPN, PT, OTR-L, DPM, or equivalent).
