Position Summary and Qualifications

As a Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room, you will deliver outstanding patient care during surgical and invasive procedures.

Working under the guidance of the OR Manager, you will collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the operating room is properly prepared for each procedure.

We seek a dedicated nurse who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform general nursing duties and demonstrate proficiency in all OR procedures.
  • Facilitate efficient room turnover and patient flow.
  • Complete all necessary documentation and charting accurately and promptly.
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgical team based on prior experience.
  • Ensure all pre-operative requirements are fulfilled before patient admission to the surgical suite.
  • Maintain readiness for assigned cases at all times.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or patient distress.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, and OR staff.
  • Provide comprehensive reports on patients' intraoperative conditions to PACU nurses.
  • Adhere to safety and security protocols, including hygiene and personal protective equipment standards.
  • Maintain professionalism, especially in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within 90 days of employment.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse with an Associate or Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN.
