Emergency Room Volunteer

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to contribute to the exceptional patient care experience at Intermountain Health Orem Community Hospital.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work in various departments throughout the hospital, including the Main Entrance Desk, Emergency Department, Gift Shop, Women's Center, Imaging, and Lab.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with individuals entering the hospital and assisting with check-in and wayfinding
  • Assisting patients/staff in the Emergency Room
  • Assisting customers with their purchases and using the cash register in the Gift Shop
  • Assisting visitors presenting to the Women's Center and assembling "new mom" packets

Requirements include:

  • Able to speak, read, and understand English
  • Able to work alone and independently (within scope of assigned duties)
  • A six-month commitment with a minimum of a 4-hour shift each week
