**Job Title:** Power Systems Engineer - Large Load Integration Specialist

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Systems Engineer to join our team at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). As a Power Systems Engineer - Large Load Integration Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliable integration of large loads into the ERCOT system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Support: Provide engineering support and analysis for the integration of large flexible loads into the ERCOT System.
  • Interconnection Studies: Review interconnection studies for large loads and interface with Transmission Service Providers to ensure compliance with ERCOT and NERC requirements.
  • Load Behavior Analysis: Perform regular and ad-hoc analyses of large load consumption behaviors and their impact on the reliability of the ERCOT interconnection.
  • Tool Development: Develop appropriate tools, displays, policies, and procedures to ensure reliable integration of large loads.
  • Subject Matter Expert: Serve as a subject matter expert on large load-related topics to ERCOT management and other ERCOT teams.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (Required)
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years related work experience in excess of degree requirements (3 years for Engineer 3, 5 years for Engineer Sr)
  • Skills: Experience performing and evaluating powerflow studies in transmission or distribution systems, ability to read and understand electrical one lines and drawings, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience.
