Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Construction Project Director to oversee multiple projects from pre-construction to closeouts, leading a team of assistant project managers and engineers to deliver exceptional results.

About the Role

The successful candidate will proactively develop new business opportunities and relationships with current and potential customers, reporting to the Division Manager. Key responsibilities include developing project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create Job Information Sheets (JIS) and Project Budgets, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Effectively supervise staff in job administration, train direct reports in company philosophy and systems, and negotiate change orders.
  • Develop cost and billing projections, manage subcontractor activities, and represent the company/project in meetings.
Requirements

Mandatory qualifications include at least 10+ years of experience as a project manager in electrical construction, a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, OSHA 10 certification, and a California Driver's License.

Essential Skills

The ideal candidate should possess advanced abilities in reading plans and specifications, knowledge of NFPA/NEC codes, safety protocols, and procedure. A basic understanding of California Construction Law and claims avoidance principles is also essential.

Working Conditions

This role involves primarily working indoors with varying environmental conditions. Physical demands include sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Compensation Package

The annual salary range is $100,000 - $137,000 based on qualifications and experience, along with comprehensive medical benefit packages, paid time off, and a retirement plan.
