Job Title: Associate Director, Communications for FLI Network

The Center for Student Success at Johns Hopkins University seeks a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director, Communications for the FLI Network. This role will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy to engage internal and external stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, families, community partners, donors, and prospective donors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a communications strategy to promote the FLI Network and its initiatives.
  • Lead the development of content for various channels, including social media, email marketing, and the website.
  • Collaborate with the FLI Network Director and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with program delivery and stakeholder engagement.
  • Supervise a program coordinator and work closely with the Assistant Directors for FLI Network.
  • Manage the communications budget and provide updates and reports on communication and engagement metrics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Four years of related experience.
  • Advanced degree may substitute for required experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of principles of design and social media platforms.
  • Experience using content management systems and email marketing platforms.
  • Understanding of measurement tools and data insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic communications and integrating the latest technologies.
  • Professional experience in nonprofits, civic engagement, public service, community development, higher education, and K-12 education.
  • Three to five years of experience supervising professional staff and managing fiscal resources.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $62,900 - $110,100 annually. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, creative and collaborative, with considerable experience in producing high-quality, engaging, and effective communication efforts.
