Position Overview:
This is a full-time role requiring approximately 2100 hours of service annually. The selected candidate will provide anesthesia coverage across various settings, including hospital operating rooms, endoscopy units, cardiac labs, and ambulatory surgery centers.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervision of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs)
- Involvement in diverse surgical cases including vascular, orthopedic, spine, general surgery, urology, obstetrics, gynecology, and cardiac procedures
- Minimal pediatric cases, primarily in the Ambulatory Surgery Center
- Work with a team of scrub techs, RN circulators, and anesthesia technicians
- Manage a total of 15 main operating rooms and 4 ambulatory surgery centers
- Contribute to a Trauma Level 2 facility

Electronic Medical Records:Utilization of Epic System
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary of $575,000 for call-taking positions
- Additional $25,000 stipend for Cardiac Anesthesia
- Sign-on bonus of $125,000
- Retention stipend for the initial two years
- Premium Pay and Excess Call Pay options available
- Comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance
- Paid malpractice insurance, including post-employment tail coverage
- Continuing Medical Education (CME) time and expense allowance
- 10 weeks of paid time off
- Retirement savings program with employer matching
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology or Board Eligible with plans to test
- Board Certified in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine or Board Eligible with plans to test
- Board Certified in Cardiac Anesthesiology (additional stipend available)
- New York State medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required by start date
- DEA Verbal Confirmation required by start date
- COVID-19 vaccination required
