Job Summary

As an Internet Sales Specialist at Northside Auto Group, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries and ensuring maximum profit potential on Internet sales. Your primary goal will be to satisfy the transportation needs of Internet-generated purchasers and communicate effectively with customers and prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Satisfy the transportation needs of Internet-generated purchasers.
  • Communicate effectively with Internet customers and prospects.
  • Understand the psychology of Internet customers and work with them to draw them into the store for proper vehicle demonstration and to close the transaction.
  • Handle Internet sales inquiries personally and in a timely manner.
  • Sell/lease and deliver a minimum of 10 units per month.
  • Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Explain fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
  • Offer test drives to all prospects and follow dealership procedure to obtain proper identification.
  • Understand and utilize all functions of dealership sales control and follow-up system - Contact Manager.
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Know and understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
  • Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Attend product and sales training courses as requested by sales manager.
  • Maintain Ford Certification.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Know and understand equity and values, and explain depreciation to customers.
  • Ensure the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Turn 100% of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork.
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with established dealership policies.
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
  • Schedule first service appointment.
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items, tags/title work, 'we owes', and special requests to ensure all customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Attend sales meetings.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factors, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience:

  • One to three months related experience and/or training.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Qualifications:

  • Manufacturer Training.
  • Valid Driver's License.
