The Cloud Security Engineer will take charge of the design, implementation, and management of AWS-centric networking and security solutions:

  • Candidates must possess hands-on experience in the implementation and development of the tools and technologies specified in this role. Experience as an analyst or user is not adequate.
  • Proven experience in network architecture, cloud environments, and security tools is essential.
  • Familiarity with principles, procedures, and technologies related to Computer and Network Security is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years in enterprise security architecture, security engineering, and system administration is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience in an AWS commercial cloud setting, along with knowledge of pertinent cloud security tools, is critical.
  • Technical experience with Okta, CyberArk, and at least one of the following: CrowdStrike, Tenable Nessus, or Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) is mandatory.
  • Experience in network architecture, cloud, and security tools is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions to mitigate vulnerability findings and security gaps during the system development lifecycle.
  • Capability to analyze environments and determine optimal security technology deployment strategies.
  • Readiness to respond to incidents as they arise.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience in cloud security engineering within an AWS framework.
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification.
  • AWS DevSecOps Engineer certification.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification.
  • AWS Security Specialty certification.

Educational Requirement: A Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity or a related discipline.

Clearance Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
