Job Title: AWS Cloud Administrator

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Administrator to join our team at Digital Infuzion. The successful candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and securing the AWS Cloud infrastructure that powers our technical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud computing, with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience working with cloud services, including at least 2 years specifically managing AWS infrastructure. They will also have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Linux scripting.

The Cloud Administrator will work closely with our Cloud Architect and software development team to ensure seamless integration of compute and storage assets within our VPCs. They will also be responsible for implementing robust security measures and continuous monitoring through tools like CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, and GuardDuty.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a varied audience. They will also be able to work collaboratively in an Agile setting and have experience with CI/CD solutions like Jenkins or CircleCI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess existing architecture and identify opportunities for improvements and optimization
  • Manage and support AWS infrastructure, including foundational services like VPC, EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, API Gateway, and CloudWatch
  • Collaborate with Agile teams to deploy and test code across multiple pre-production and production environments
  • Communicate the purpose and value of new AWS services to stakeholders and ensure alignment with their needs
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues to maintain system integrity and performance
Requirements:
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience working with cloud services, including at least 2 years specifically managing AWS infrastructure
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Linux scripting
  • Agile Methodology experience and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile setting
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
Desired:
  • CompTIA Cloud+ Certification or other Vendor-Neutral Cloud Administrator certifications
  • Experience with CI/CD solutions like Jenkins or CircleCI
  • Hands-on experience with current computing platforms, including AWS Lambda and Containers
  • Familiarity or direct experience working with other Cloud Service Providers in addition to AWS
