Job Summary

The Wealth Relationship Manager SAFE Act is a seasoned professional role that requires in-depth disciplinary knowledge and expertise in financial planning and wealth management. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and deepen relationships with affluent and High Net Worth clients to gain incremental wallet share through financial planning and excellent discovery and profiling skills.
  • Anticipate complex financial needs of clients and offer solutions through a wide range of products, services, and tools based on client profiling.
  • Provide regular value-added engagement with clients, including high-touch, face-to-face meetings, consistent communication, and access to seminars.
  • Master referral opportunities to grow portfolio and proactively source, acquire, and expand high-value customer relationships.
  • Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate and organize client events to enhance client bonding.
  • Acquire new clients through converting referral leads and manage client follow-up, adhering to all Regulatory and Compliance operating procedures.
  • Ensure that KYC/AML and other compliance norms are strictly adhered to and partner with all roles on branch team to ensure all clients have a positive in-branch experience.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets.

Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience in financial planning and wealth management.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to evaluate moderately complex and variable issues.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide regular value-added engagement with clients.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage client follow-up and adhere to all Regulatory and Compliance operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) and experience using NaviPlan Select or similar financial planning software preferred.
  • Basic understanding of investment and financial planning strategies preferred.
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver, and goal-oriented team player able to work without direction.
  • US: Current Registration for FINRA Series 7 and 66 are required for the role. Individuals with Series 6, 63, and 65 or equivalent are encouraged to apply.
  • Insurance group 1 required; will give 120 days to obtain if not already held.
  • This position requires the employee to register as a mortgage loan originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (Registry) and obtain a unique identifier from the Registry before referring interested clients to Citibank for their mortgage needs.

Education:

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
