Job Purpose:

As a key member of the Portfolio Management Analytics team within the Institutional Credit Management group, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale data solutions that enhance our firm's risk management strategies.

Your expertise will be instrumental in improving our data-driven decision-making processes, ensuring robust and effective risk management across the organization.

Job Background/Context:

The Institutional Credit Management group is a critical component of Citi's First Line of Defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management.

The group works closely with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk, controls, and client responsiveness.

Key responsibilities include stress testing, exposure monitoring, risk identification, and credit analysis.

The group coordinates with credit management teams across ICG businesses to ensure alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy big data flows tailored to business needs for Portfolio Health Monitoring, Covenant Monitoring, Exception Management, Limits Management, Early Warning Credit Management, and Counterparty Credit Risk Management.
  • Work with large and complex data sets, both internal and external, to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of credit risk strategies using a variety of programming tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all Risk and Control requirements throughout the technical process, including documentation, testing, and ongoing performance monitoring.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in data engineering/Hadoop development/advanced analytics/modeling.
  • Proven experience working with large and complex data sets.
  • Experience with data engineering techniques and tools such as Spark, SQL, Python, Tableau, etc.
  • Understanding and project experience of data management such as data pipeline, data structure, and data quality governance.
  • Proficient in Agile project management tools, such as Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence.
Education:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics, science, or a related field.

  • Ability to deploy large complex data processes in a standardized and sustainable manner from inception to implementation.
