Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our team at City National Bank. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in executing a successful data initiative implementation across target areas. This will involve operationalizing data domains, data automation tools, data sourcing, aggregation, and integration for reporting purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement data management and/or data sourcing capabilities and operations management as outlined in data management & reporting framework, policy, and standards.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to create data controls, identify measurement definitions, and perform impact assessments on potential business and data changes.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with data stewards to ensure critical data issues are communicated timely for remediation.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data custodians, and report developers to ensure consistent use and maintenance of data definitions, authorized data sources, and calculations.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, architecture, and information technology to prioritize and resolve data sourcing, business rules, data aggregation, data distribution, and data consumption.
  • Document and maintain data governance activities, maintain logs, and record issues and corresponding resolutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and functional areas and technology to ensure that data-related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with providing data management or data sourcing functions and related operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Systems or Business Administration. Master's Degree in a related field is strongly desired.
  • 3 years of banking experience, preferably in regulatory reporting or credit
  • Knowledge of information access and delivery methods, analytics applications, and tool portfolio, data sourcing, and integration methods. Understanding of data warehouse, ETL, data cleansing, and architecture.
  • Solid background of regulatory compliance requirements such as CCAR, BCBS239
  • Experience working and effectively collaborating with reporting, operations, and technology teams.
  • Familiarity with operational and support environment issues.
  • Strong critical thinking ability and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently with light to moderate supervision in various areas of responsibility
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal/written communication skills, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to write SQL queries, perform data profiling, and analysis

Compensation:

Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
