Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (RPN/LPN) to join our team as an Infusion and Field Nursing Professional. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for administering medications, supporting the administration of IV infusion treatments, and providing patient education in home and specialty clinic settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications (IM, SC, and IV as applicable) in home and specialty clinic settings
  • Support and monitor the administration of IV infusion treatments in the clinic and/or homecare setting
  • Monitor post-injection/infusion treatments, chart, and report on all activities as directed by program protocols and standards of professional nursing documentation
  • Provide patient education based on program protocols, individually or in groups
  • Report adverse events, serious adverse events, product complaints in accordance with Innomar Strategies training and policies & procedures
  • Coordinate daily with patients, case managers, physicians, scheduling, and other departments to meet established timelines for scheduling appointments, treatments, and communication of information
  • Perform administrative duties such as monthly clinic audits, supply ordering, and other duties as assigned
  • Participate regularly in team web-based meetings/training sessions with the Business Area Manager, RNE, and Nurse Champion to maintain and enhance professional practice standards
  • Participate in specialized client-related trainings as required
  • Consult with physicians, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients regarding education and implementation of product-specific programs
  • Required to travel within your designated IBU and surrounding IBUs to meet operational needs
  • Required to follow all nursing and clinic standard operating procedures and Work Instructions
  • Required to follow all Health and Safety standards as per the provincial Health and Safety Act
  • Required to complete ongoing and annual education training as per the training matrix within specified timeframes
  • Adhere to professional nursing standards as prescribed by professional associations, regulatory bodies, and company policies and procedures
  • Perform related duties and tasks as required by Innomar Strategies
  • May be required to be on standby/on call to meet service needs
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Practical Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Experience with IV therapy is an asset
  • Diploma/University degree in nursing or related field
  • Current registration with provincial licensing body; CPR certificate
  • Experience in acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting
  • ACLS, PALs, MS, and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets
  • Knowledge of cell phone for making and confirming appointments/assignments and fax machines
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger team
  • Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary
