Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Quality Assurance Supervisor in overseeing the quality and food safety protocols at the facility, which include all relevant policies, programs, and procedures.
The Food Quality Assurance Specialist will primarily manage the HACCP Programs, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), documentation, and all QA initiatives, ensuring compliance with product specifications.
Monitor all HACCP Programs to maintain regulatory adherence and report any deficiencies to the QA Supervisor and Plant Manager.
Ensure that all SSOP Programs are followed to guarantee food safety and compliance, documenting any issues and communicating them to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain accurate records and file all documentation as directed by the QA Supervisor.
Enforcement of Quality Assurance Programs:
Oversee all QA Programs within the facility.
- Address any issues in accordance with QA protocols.
- Communicate findings to the QA Supervisor and Plant Manager.
Assist in rectifying specification deviations through collaboration with production staff.
Communicate necessary changes to specifications to the QA Supervisor.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment is preferred.
Previous experience as a QA Lead Technician is advantageous.
Familiarity with quality assurance processes and systems is essential, along with intermediate computer skills.
Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Ability to uphold and enforce policies, programs, and specifications is crucial.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus, with English being mandatory.
Must be able to stand for extended periods in varying temperature environments.
