Sharp HealthCare is seeking an Audiologist to join our team at Scripps Ranch. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with audiological disorders, working in an ambulatory setting as part of a coordinated healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with audiological disorders, utilizing current standards of professional practice for diagnostic, rehabilitation, and prevention.
- Consult with physicians, providers, and audiology peers regarding patient evaluations and care when indicated.
- Provide patient-centered care, demonstrating a courteous and professional behavior towards patients, providers, and coworkers.
- Document patient information and treatment plans, following policies and procedures for completing all department documentation.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Audiology (if graduated prior to 01/2008) or Doctoral Degree in Audiology (if graduated after 01/2008).
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) certification.
- Audiologist licensure in California.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Working Conditions
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and courtesy with the public. The Audiologist will be required to work in an ambulatory setting, with occasional travel to other Sharp HealthCare facilities. The position requires the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
