Position Overview
As a key member of our bar team, you will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality beverages to our patrons. Your role will involve greeting guests, understanding their preferences, and providing timely and friendly service. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about drink preparation and committed to maintaining a clean and organized bar environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold the mission of BoujieMana through exemplary service.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with established recipes.
- Process guest payments and manage cash transactions accurately.
- Verify guest age for alcohol purchases.
- Present drink menus and provide recommendations to guests.
- Take orders from guests and serving staff.
- Mix ingredients to create cocktails and other beverages.
- Serve snacks or food items to guests at the bar.
- Accurately record drink orders in the register system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Stock the bar with necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Engage with regular guests and build rapport.
- Monitor guest consumption to ensure responsible service.
- Attend scheduled meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet guest needs and enhance service quality.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bar or similar setting.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Food Handler's Card and ABC Card required.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, and cocktails.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in drink mixing techniques.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Exceptional customer service and communication abilities.
- Positive demeanor and professional appearance.
