As a Department Manager at Primark, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, inventory, and standards in your department. You will be responsible for managing a team of Sales Associates and Team Leaders, ensuring they deliver an exceptional shopping experience for every customer and a positive work environment for every colleague.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage inventory, move product in accordance with customer demand, and review and manage planograms and period layouts.
- Be commercially aware, understanding local market trends and competitors, and use relevant systems and tools to improve option control and drive sales.
- Use data to gain full knowledge of your department's performance, drive sales, and meet targets.
- Hire, train, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Associates and Team Leaders.
- Ensure your department delivers an exceptional shopping experience for every customer and a positive work environment for every colleague.
- At least 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to relate to customer needs.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire the team, building confidence and enthusiasm.
- Resilient with a proven ability to lead a team and give constructive feedback.
- Good planning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working within agreed timescales.
- Experience supporting store management with the protection of people, property, and premises.
