ResponsibilitiesProgram Overview
Our Intercept program caters to a wide demographic of youth, including those engaged with various child-serving systems and those at significant risk of being separated from their families. This program focuses on preventing out-of-home placements by assisting families in safely keeping their youth at home. The role involves delivering intensive, home-based therapy to families.
Position Overview
- Manage a small caseload of 4-6 families
- Conduct family sessions three times a week at times convenient for the families in their residences
- Provide rotating on-call support to families during weekdays and weekends
- Participate in three supervision meetings weekly
- Utilize web-based documentation tools (voice recognition technology available in most locations)
- Deliver treatment in the homes of individual families across various settings and communities
Additional Information
The schedule is flexible and non-traditional, tailored around the availability of the youth and families served.
Applicants must possess a valid driver's license, have access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes, and maintain auto insurance.
Community-based staff will receive reimbursement for applicable mileage.
QualificationsRequirements
Fluency in both English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
A Master's degree in a social services field is preferred; however, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline is required.
Acceptable degrees include social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees will be assessed to determine their relevance.
Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals or families in crisis intervention.
Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
Capability to manage multiple priorities concurrently.
Basic computer proficiency.
Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.
