Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Engineer to fill the role of Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical comments on leasing documents for construction projects in leased space and oversee the work of four other engineers on the same type of projects.
  • Oversee the management of complex electrical and HVAC projects in leased and City-owned space, including multi-story buildings, interior office build-outs, and light industrial applications.
  • Develop, review, and/or supervise plans and technical drawings to ensure code, industry, and City compliance.
  • Occasionally perform all duties of an engineer in their applicable discipline themselves on selected projects in addition to managing the staff.
  • Perform project contract and general administrative duties.
Requirements
  • A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
  • Six years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, or plan examining work, at least two years of which must have been in an executive, managerial, or administrative capacity.
