About the Role

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and details to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate field coordination issues with project team members and participants.
  • Implement the pre-construction quality plan and obtain necessary construction permits.
  • Work with the Project Manager to ensure timely fee payments and recurring permit expenses.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain material tracking lists, project test and inspection listings, and concrete placement logs.
  • Manage and distribute contract documents, including RFIs and change orders.
  • Establish handling procedures for electronic documents and incorporate processes and procedures that support the project closeout phase.
  • Manage all aspects of testing and inspection processes for the construction quality management program.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years related construction experience.
  • Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills.
  • Current driver's license.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
