Key Responsibilities:
This Warehouse Operations Supervisor role is essential for ensuring smooth operations at the Hudson Distribution Center. Responsibilities include:
- Delivering exceptional service to both internal and external customers in the receiving, processing, and distribution of merchandise.
- Overseeing daily activities of team members.
- Supporting management in shift coverage and operations.
- Assisting with scheduling to ensure all shifts are adequately staffed.
- Adhering to delivery schedules and processing deliveries accurately and efficiently.
- Utilizing technology to maintain precise inventory records.
- Facilitating the transportation of orders and returns between the warehouse and retail locations.
- Identifying and managing damaged or expired products.
- Implementing product rotation based on code dates.
- Following established security and safety protocols.
- Maintaining warehouse fixtures and equipment.
- Supporting inventory management and upkeep of bin locations.
- Ensuring accuracy in ticketing and documentation.
- Communicating effectively with associates and management.
- Driving company vehicles as necessary.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of one year of supervisory experience, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Experience with inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Experience in receiving, storing, and delivering inventory.
- Familiarity with Excel or similar database management systems.
- Knowledge of modern warehousing practices.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and perform manual tasks.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
