Staff Clinical Psychologist
Student Counseling Center
The Division of Student Life at a prominent university is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Staff Clinical Psychologist within the Student Counseling Center. This is a full-time exempt position.
Role Responsibilities: As a vital member of the university's comprehensive counseling team, the Staff Clinical Psychologist will conduct brief assessments, provide crisis intervention, and deliver various psychotherapy modalities, including individual, group, and couples therapy. Additionally, the psychologist will engage with the university community through outreach initiatives and consultation services addressing mental health issues affecting students, faculty, and families. The position also involves training and supervising master's and doctoral level students in mental health disciplines, as well as providing advanced clinical training for psychology interns.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
Education: Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
Experience: A minimum of one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) experience in providing counseling services, particularly to college student populations. This experience should encompass clinical assessment and intervention for students in emotional distress, individual and group psychotherapy, outreach programming related to college student mental health, and consultation on mental health matters.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
· Licensed as a Psychologist or Health Service Provider in the relevant state, or the ability to obtain such licensure;
· Competence in providing clinical supervision to graduate students in mental health training;
· Capacity to perform job responsibilities with cultural competence.
