Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Front Office Specialist to join our team at Providence Medical Group.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner
  • Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, and complete referrals
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records
  • Collect co-payments and outstanding patient balances
  • Ensure patients are scheduled for follow-up appointments and annual well visits

Responsibilities

  1. Provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, maintaining accurate records and confidentiality
  2. Operate computer systems, managing schedules and appointments
  3. Develop strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
  4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards

Requirements

  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous front office experience or background in general office work
  • Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies
  • Learns quickly from oral and written instructions
  • Ability to operate a computer, with knowledge of medical terminology
  • Familiarity with CPT & ICD-10 coding
  • Understand HIPAA regulations
  • Excellent organization and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • AthenaOne training/experience

Compensation and Benefits

  • $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, based on experience
