Receiving Department Manager

Restaurant Depot is seeking a highly skilled Receiving Department Manager to oversee the receipt and processing of merchandise in our warehouse. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our receiving operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of item descriptions and counts for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify the accuracy of all UPC numbers for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing Purchase Orders.
- Ensure the Goods Received Book (GRB) and any Adjustment Vouchers (AVs) are current and accurate.
- Perform monthly self-audits and address action items.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, vendors, and buyers.
- Computer literacy and effective oral and written communication skills.
- Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift/carry abilities: lift 50 lbs, carry 50 lbs, frequent lift/carry 50 lbs, constant lift/carry 20 lbs.
- Physical aptitudes: agility/dynamic balance 80-100%, finger dexterity 80-100%, manual dexterity 80-100%.
Work Environment:
- Indoor work environment with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures.
- Pace is job-set, meaning the pace varies depending on receiving activities.
- Industrial vehicles (forklifts, Hilo) moving material throughout the warehouse.
