Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Collect and record patient data, including medical history and vital signs
  • Perform routine non-invasive treatment procedures, such as phlebotomy and EKGs
  • Assist healthcare providers with various treatment procedures, including setting up sterile fields and chaperoning
  • Enter data into computer systems and verify accuracy
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and verify medical coverage
  • Provide basic cashiering duties and collect monies for various activities
  • Maintain a sanitary work area and report equipment problems
  • Provide quality customer service and ensure patient satisfaction
Requirements
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, AMT, AAMA, NRCMA, CCMA, etc.)
  • 2 years of directly related experience
  • Bilingual English and Spanish (or other languages) preferred
Working Conditions

This position requires heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. The work environment may involve exposure to chemicals, biohazardous materials, and limited access to medical rooms.
