Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and guide a high-performing team of approximately 12 members, including subcontractors, within the Materials Science and Metallurgy Branch.
- Ensure technical excellence and performance oversight for individual and team contributions.
- Collaborate with management to assign and develop personnel for various tasks, enhancing their skills and capabilities.
- Implement safety protocols and lead by example, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Manage hiring processes, including defining position requirements, recruiting candidates, and onboarding new team members.
- Oversee employee development, including performance evaluations and goal setting.
- Foster excellent customer relations and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks related to project costs, schedules, and technical performance.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality work products that meet customer expectations.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Ph.D. is preferred, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 8 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience.
