Schools - Speech Language Pathologist

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a school district located in Waterbury. As an SLP, you will be responsible for providing speech and language therapy services to students with a wide range of communication disorders and disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs, ensuring optimal progress and development.
  • Deliver high-quality therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Collaborate closely with other members of the education team, including teachers, administrators, and parents, to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders from an accredited institution.
  • An active Connecticut SLP license, demonstrating commitment to ongoing professional development and expertise.
  • Prior experience working with children in a school setting, showcasing ability to adapt to diverse learning environments and needs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective partnerships with students, families, and educational teams.
