Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems business unit at M.C. Dean, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with customers to understand security needs and develop requirements and test plans.
  • Identify candidate technologies and evaluate them against defined requirements.
  • Work with internal teams to assess and resolve privacy, network security, and scalability concerns for systems.
  • Write high-quality documentation for system standards and operations.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on engineering needs and requirements for system performance, installations, and sustainment programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (BS) such as Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering with 5 years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing and deploying different systems.
  • System administration experience in performing triage on system problems, resolving system problems, analyzing system data to prevent problems, and implementing new workstations and system extensions.
  • Reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Travel up to 25%.
