Job Summary

The Diver will be responsible for executing field work on various marine and land-based projects while adhering to strict compliance with corporate policies, health and safety protocols, and local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dive projects under direct or indirect supervision, ensuring accurate completion of job-specific paperwork.
  • Understand and work within project scope to maintain compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies.
  • Work safely during all phases of job duties, including setup and maintenance of dive stations.
  • Ability to perform work in areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting and crawling for extended periods.
  • Follow directions, read and understand English, and comprehend dive plans.
  • Set up and fully inspect standard dive stations, identifying and maintaining life support equipment.
  • Memorize emergency line pull signals and assist divers with dressing and undressing.
  • Tend to divers and their tools, tying bowlines, hitches, and cleating lines.
  • Perform routine maintenance of underwater life support equipment and identify frequently used tools.
  • Demonstrate underwater ability during simple dive tasks and safely operate vehicles for which licensed.
  • Project work may require out-of-town travel for two weeks or more, and the ability to understand and comply with company and client safety standards.
  • Work outside year-round in all types of weather, exposed to varying physical demands and environmental conditions.
Qualifications
  • Requires High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing, and reasoning skills).
  • Experience in hydroelectric facility inspection and repair, nuclear inspection and repair, potable, contaminated, tug/ship inspection and repair, bridge inspection, and/or FERC inspection is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required, as well as TWIC, fit-to-dive physical, and visual acuity to distinguish colors.
  • Valid CPR First Aid, CPR, Oxygen Administration, and AED certification, ADCI entry-level tender diver certification card, and/or ACDE certification card are also required.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background and substance screening process, including employment verifications, criminal search, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) search, is necessary.
