Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relations, ensuring timely and effective communication.
  • Support the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure operational best practices align with customer requirements.
  • Manage daily logistics operations, including booking, tracking, and tracing of cargo (FTL/LTL/AIR), to ensure seamless and efficient transportation.
  • Provide outstanding customer service throughout the entire logistics process, from booking to cargo delivery.
  • Request quotations from carriers and negotiate spot rates to optimize costs and improve service levels.
  • Develop and implement cost-effective operational solutions to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
  • Communicate regularly with customers, carriers, and internal staff to ensure seamless coordination and issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date account documentation, ensuring it is readily accessible to the team when needed.
  • Monitor and analyze service and cost data to identify areas for improvement and implement recommendations.
  • Prepare reports on service failures, claims, damages, and other irregularities to ensure prompt issue resolution.
  • Ensure accuracy of data entry into systems and monitor trends to report changes to management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience in FTL/LTL transportation dispatching or operations in the logistics industry required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple shipments while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and negotiating skills.
  • Appropriate phone and email manner with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with NAFTA/USMCA cross-border transportation preferred.
  • Warehouse and/or manufacturing knowledge preferred.
